You cannot tell your kids not to pay attention to what's happening in the world because all those changes are going to affect their life uncontrollably and they can only be prepared by watching these "accidents" and accepting that luck is needed to be successful from a young age, and SURVIVAL is not even guaranteed.
Everyone understands that it is very possible that people with the disease were dead and had not been able to get the medical help they need. If we rely on the numbers of the hospitals, it would give us a very wrong idea because it would be missing those who dropped dead and looked like they had a heart attack etc.
Many cities have been reporting that the number of dead bodies were increased by several times.
It is quite safe to assume that most of the extra fatality had been caused by COVID-19.
Assuming this virus has a similar transmission power to the common flu, then it would be obvious to say that the true death rate is several times greater than flu.
This is a bad omen because most people would remember how the hospitals got fed up every winter. If COVID-19 turns out like the flu, where vaccines can only protect some if the strain was guessed correctly, even if the death rate would be cut by half, the hospital system will still collapse...

No wonder there were so MANY young kids around the world doing things like throwing COVID parties, and there were trends on the micro-blogging circle discussing the #BOOMREMOVER...
I can't really blame them for their "irresponsible" and "selfish" behavior.
It is not a world where you an excel with talent and effort. You need your parents to be RICH in order to succeed... or else what you receive is that "I know you have tried your best but that is not really what I want." I think I can sympathize with those "HKgals" who are determined to marry themselves into rich families, after being humiliated for all those years and failed to gain access to anything that would make them thrive.
Since my family doesn't own a car, transportation can only be a bigger and bigger problem day by day as reduced service and unpredictable timetable has been adopted due to the social upheaval which has lasted for almost a year now. I was so stressed out today such that as I ran to a bus stop with full load on my back this morning, I sent myself flying and crashed onto the concrete ground without anything tripping me nor something nearby to knock my balance out. My legs just suddenly had all the energy sucked out into nowhere.
I landed in full accordance to my years of JUDO training so the bruises were not bad and I could get myself up and in time for the bus (thank you very much to the old lady who helped me up... I didn't say my thanks in time). Well, at least there are things you can get with effort and talent, which is to protect yourself from worse things that could have happened.

Well you see, Westerners are usually nice and comfy with their origin country, and such rants are rare. Really rare.
So, I am NOT going to comment on how Italy will become the next Wuhan. The world would finally see what happened in Wuhan soon, since China is famous for blatant information control and so Italy will essentially replay what happened there. Everybody is keeping the channel on now.
2. Professional advice had stated again and again how smoking is a big risk factor for COVID19 patients. I noticed that my neighbours are trying very hard to smoke less. I am praying that they can quit smoking successfully soon while I sincerely hope that the tobacco companies would humbly realize that they will not be enjoying good business environment for years coming.
3. Stocking up a bit on essentials when the price is low has proven to be a nice housekeeping habit. Being able to read Japanese helps with purchasing too and can save up to 60%.

And no, the logic of my liberal education was as bad as my writing. It was more like venting out on the next generation on the painful tragedies that human beings have created on Earth. Psychology in my undergraduate years was also taught like that. All the bullshits from those pioneers of making money out of susceptible crowd etc... you know what. I didn't pay to learn all those cheap scams which one can learn elsewhere.
After reading these 2 months' English productions of my own, I have realized that I have never been able to enjoy a good communcation culture and I have always been vented on by those around me. This is why I don't feel living alone bad for all these 10 years. There are worse things than living alone.
